Can I share my previous reports with the doctor during a consult?
Yes, and it's highly recommended. Sharing previous reports helps the doctor understand your history, avoid repeating tests you've already done, and give advice that fits your actual situation rather than starting from scratch.
How to share
- In the consultation chat, tap the attachment icon and upload a photo or document — a lab report, scan, or earlier prescription.
- If the report is already a HelloDr lab report or prescription in your account, you can reference it directly.
- For paper reports, take a clear, well-lit photo of each page.
Tips for clear sharing
- Capture the whole page, including dates and reference ranges.
- Send the most recent and most relevant reports first.
- Add a short note telling the doctor what to focus on (e.g. "blood sugar trend over 3 months").
Privacy
Anything you share stays private between you and that doctor. Files are stored securely and aren't visible to other users or other doctors. You can also use a secure, revocable share link if you prefer. See consultation privacy for the full picture.
